چکیده
Economists frequently connne themselves to the qualitative analysis of continuous optimization problems or they restrict their quantitative analysis to inaccurate methods like lineariza-tion around the steady state. The fact that the solution is characterized by an inherently unstable adjustment path arriving at a boundary value in innnite time, however, does not necessarily imply a complicated solution method. The paper explains and demonstrates the method of backward integration, a recursive solution method that does not only reveal the exact adjustment path but that is also very easy to use. A New Approach for Finding an Optimal Solution for Grey Transportation Problem
In ordinary transportation problems, it is always supposed that the mileage from every source to every destination is a definite number. But in special conditions, such as transporting emergency materials when natural calamity occurs or transporting military supplies during wartime, carrying network may be destroyed, mileage from some sources to some destinations are no longer definite. It is u...
متن کاملApproximate solution of laminar thermal boundary layer over a thin plate heated from below by convection
In this paper, an integration of a symbolic power series method - Padé approximation technique (PS - Padé), was utilized to solve a system of nonlinear differential equations arising from the similarity solution of laminar thermal boundary layer over a flat plate subjected to a convective surface boundary condition. As both boundary conditions tended to infinity, the combination of series solut...
متن کاملSubgame Perfect Farsighted Stability∗
Farsighted game theoretic solution concepts have been shown to provide insightful results in many applications. However, we provide simple examples demonstrating that the existing solution concepts may fail to incorporate some important aspects of farsighted reasoning. This failure stems apparently from the reliance of these concepts on constructs such as indirect dominance which only provide l...
متن کاملNon-Fourier heat conduction equation in a sphere; comparison of variational method and inverse Laplace transformation with exact solution
Small scale thermal devices, such as micro heater, have led researchers to consider more accurate models of heat in thermal systems. Moreover, biological applications of heat transfer such as simulation of temperature field in laser surgery is another pathway which urges us to re-examine thermal systems with modern ones. Non-Fourier heat transfer overcomes some shortcomings of Fourier heat tran...
متن کاملApplications of epi-retractable modules
An R-module M is called epi-retractable if every submodule of MR is a homomorphic image of M. It is shown that if R is a right perfect ring, then every projective slightly compressible module MR is epi-retractable. If R is a Noetherian ring, then every epi-retractable right R-module has direct sum of uniform submodules. If endomorphism ring of a module MR is von-Neumann regular, then M is semi-...
